The Simcoe Little Theatre stage is open to any and all! Please see below for audition information for the 2022/2023 season. 

Audition Notice: Love Letters

Show: Love Letters by A.R. Gurney

Directed by Melissa Collver

Run Dates: March 2 – 12, 2023

Show Synopsis: Andrew and Melissa are childhood friends whose lifelong correspondence begins with a birthday party thank-you note. They continue to exchange letters through their college years—where Andy goes on to excel at Yale, and Melissa flunks out of a series of “good schools.” As they slowly grow apart it becomes clear how much they really meant, and gave, to one another.

Audition Information:

Audition Date: November 23, 2022

Time: 6:30 – 8:30 PM

Location: Simcoe Little Theatre

Available Roles: 1 Male Age 45 +, 1 Female Age 45 +

Note: Aspiring actors may drop by the theatre on the audition date to meet with the director. No pre-booking is necessary. No prepared monologues or singing are required. 

 

Audition Notice: Race Day

Show: Race Day by Norm Foster and Steve Thomas

Directed by: Tony and Michelle Proracki

Run Dates: May 4 – 14, 2023

Show Synopsis: An out of work actor, his estranged daughter, a channeler, a down-on-his-luck gambler, a woman enforcer, two small time thieves and a nun descend on the track for an afternoon of thoroughbred racing. This musical written with Steve Thomas is brimming with laughs, heart, and showstopping songs.

Audition Information:

Audition Dates: December 6th & 8th

Time: 6:30 – 9:00 PM 

Location: Simcoe Little Theatre

Available Roles: 7 adults, 1 young adult

Note: Scheduled audition times are preferred, but walk-ins are welcome. Potential actors are asked to come prepared with a short piece of music to sing with either a piano, your own accompanying tracks, or unaccompanied.
